Opticar is an AI platform that detects vehicle damage by fusing advanced imaging & hardware data. We deliver results by creating an accurate 3D model using proprietary scanners then compare the captured data to OEM specifications. This process uncovers both cosmetic & structural damage —delivering faster, more accurate, & fairer vehicle claims.

How Opticar works

Vehicle Scanning

The vehicle is scanned using high-resolution cameras, structured-light or laser technology, & sensors. If the car is undriveable, a track-mounted or handheld scanner captures it in place.

Digital Twin Creation

Opticar generates a full 3D model of the vehicle, including the exterior, undercarriage, and alignment.

Damage Identification & Analysis

AI automatically detects dents, scratches, panel misalignments, and potential structural deviations. It compares the scan against OEM specifications & historical data to determine severity & consistency with the reported incident.

Repair Methodology & Costing

The system recommends repair or replacement, generates a parts list (including unseen but likely damaged parts), and integrates with supplier networks for live pricing & availability. It also performs a Pre-Accident Valuation (PAV) to assess repair vs. non-repair viability.

Decision & Settlement

If repairable, Opticar sends a detailed repair plan and cost estimate to both the insurer and repairer. If not economic to repair, it generates a total-loss report with PAV for immediate settlement.
